Peaceful Practices:
FAQ

Beyond the retreat: your permanent circle. Healing is a journey that continues long after you return home. When you book a retreat or session, you gain immediate access to our private, secured community groups. This is a sanctuary where the connection continues through: The compassionate circle: A safe space for deep expression and shared stories. The Alchemist Toolbox: Practical Resources for your continued Somatic Healing Rites and Remembrance: dedicated space for honoring our children together. Ongoing support: you are never walking alone; our community stays with you as you navigate the days ahead.

• Do I need prior experience with meditation or breathwork?

Not at all. Our facilitators guide you through every practice with a focus on comfort and accessibility. Whether you have a long-standing practice or are trying these techniques for the first time, you will be fully supported.

• What should I bring to a Peaceful Practices retreat?

The goal is total comfort. We recommend soft, layered clothing, a journal and any small personal items that help you feel grounded. We provide all necessary mats, cushions and somatic tools.

• Will I be expected to speak in the grief circles?

There is never any pressure to speak. We honor "the sanctuary of silence" just as much as shared reflection. You are welcome to share as much or as little as feels right for you in the moment.

• How do these retreats help with daily anxiety?

We dedicate specific time to "the daily walk"—teaching you discrete somatic techniques (like specific breathing patterns or grounding touch) that you can use at work, during the holidays or when faced with difficult social questions.
