FAQ
Beyond the retreat: your permanent circle. Healing is a journey that continues long after you return home. When you book a retreat or session, you gain immediate access to our private, secured community groups. This is a sanctuary where the connection continues through: The compassionate circle: A safe space for deep expression and shared stories. The Alchemist Toolbox: Practical Resources for your continued Somatic Healing Rites and Remembrance: dedicated space for honoring our children together. Ongoing support: you are never walking alone; our community stays with you as you navigate the days ahead.
• I feel "off-balance" and stuck in survival mode; are these retreats too intense for me?
These retreats are specifically designed for that feeling. The activities are tools to help you gently break the cycle of survival mode. You don't need to be an "athlete"; you just need the willingness to take a step forward alongside people who understand exactly why that step feels so heavy.
• What if I am afraid of one of the activities (like skydiving or rock climbing)?
Participation is always a choice. These activities are meant to empower you, not overwhelm you. We offer various levels of engagement and alternative ways to participate so you can find your own "edge" safely.
• Are the activities seasonal?
Yes. Our offerings change based on the location and time of year. For example, we may focus on whitewater rafting and kayaking in the summer, while fall retreats may focus more on hiking and high ropes courses. Detailed itineraries are provided for each specific retreat.
• Is all the equipment provided?
Yes. We provide all professional-grade safety gear and equipment for every activity (helmets, harnesses, life jackets, etc. and provided by the experts of the activites). A detailed packing list for personal clothing and footwear will be sent to you well in advance.
• Is it "okay" to have fun during these retreats?
This is one of the most common questions. Yes. We create a space where it is safe to experience the full spectrum of emotion; where grief circles and laughter can coexist. Learning that it is okay to live and even find joy again is a central part of the experience.
